I’ve officially had about 10 people ask why I haven’t posted in over a month.
Here’s my story: I’m finishing up an intensive internship as part of my graduate program. Summar has been madness, but it will all be done in about 3 weeks. Then, I’ll be back to photographing (yay!), blogging (yay!) and gearing up for what I hope will be a productive fall photography season.
Until then, back to work…I will leave you with a cute photo of Winston to make up for it.

Wow, it’s been a crazy past few weeks for me! It’s all been worth it though because this past weekend I was home in Philly to spend time with my sister and (surprise!) celebrate her baby shower with our friends and family.
My sister is one of those pregnant women you see on the street that is all belly and looks better from behind now then I do on a regular day. If I look half that good when I start having kids I will be a very happy girl. She’s due the end of July, but I’ve got my money on the first week of the month.
For those that know the Philly area, we took these photos at Tyler Park in Bucks County…right near Bucks County Community College. It’s a great spot and we got some great photos. The last two are my favorites.

I’m soooo excited to come home in the fall and take some photos of baby Parker!
Before I left for Rockport, I had the pleasure of meeting beautiful baby Claire. Her mother Heather and the rest of the family were so welcoming and up for trying out different shots…including me putting their child in a basket on the front step. I love when people are totally open to fresh ideas!
I think the photos are adorable. Hope you enjoy them!

Rob and I were in Rockport, Massachusetts for a few days to celebrate the wedding of our friends Nicole and Graham. Nicole was my roomate in Florence, Italy when we both lived there for six months back in 2005. We also got to catch up with newly-engaged friends in Boston, as well. It was a busy weekend, but also relaxing and really fun.
I had a newborn photo session right before we left and I’ll be posting some of my favorites from that session later today. Until then, here are a few of my favorite photos from Rockport.
Quintessential New England:

Rob is so much braver than me. I refused to get any closer to the edge of the rocks:

I love the colors in this last shot:

Today I met Stacey, GJ, Ethan and Ella downtown for a photo session. I think if someone had told Stacey and me when we booked the session that it would be about 55 degrees and windy (in mid-May…in the South), I’m not sure I would’ve believed them. But, this family is awesome and kept their spirits and energy high. The result? Some great photographs!
Stacy writes a wonderful blog, All Because Two People Fell in Love. If you’re someone that loves giveaways, cool reviews and honest opinions, you should definitely be reading this blog! Stacey’s advice on everything from clothing to electronics to books is a help to anyone trying to figure out the best new products on the market.
I’m also excited to announce that we’re going to be giving away an Option #1 Photography Session on Stacey’s blog! This package comes with a half hour photo session, 15-20 images on CD, 1 11×14, 1 8×10 and 2 5×7s. Be sure to keep an eye on Stacey’s blog and enter to win!
Now, here are some of my favorite shots from today…

On Saturday I met up with Heather and Christopher and their adorable daughters Chloe and Cadence. Those two girls were made for the camera! Thankfully, Cherokee Park hadn’t been mowed lately — bad for walkers, good for tall-grass photos, which I love! I got some great shots of this wonderful family!

Heather has the most honest, endearing smile…

How pretty are Cadence’s eyes?!

Ah, sisterly love…I still make this face when my sister tries to kiss me. I kid, I kid.

This just might be my favorite picture of the session. I had a face just like this growing up…it usually meant that I had done something bad, but that I knew I would totally get away with!

So, how cute is this family?

I wanted to draw everyone’s attention to a great new feature I’ve added to the blog. It dawned on me that many of my clients probably have MySpace, Facebook or Twitter and would love to have an easy way to share my blog post(s) about their family photo session. You now have the option to click on the any of the three logos below to do just that!
This feature is in total beta mode on my site, so I encourage you all to contact me as you try to use it and let me know what you like (or don’t like) about it. At this point, I’m only offering it on Facebook, MySpace and Twitter, but would be open to suggestions regarding other social networking platforms that you use!
Have fun!
